To add a payment method, go to Settings > Billing > Billing details > Payment method section.
First, enter your billing details in the Billing details section. Then, click Add payment method.
Then, enter your payment details and click Add payment method.
Once you've successfully added the payment method, you’ll see it in the Payment methods section. The first method you have added will be set as your default method.
You can add more than one payment method. If you want to delete a payment method or set a new default payment method, just click on the three dots. Keep in mind that you won’t be able to remove your default payment method as long as you have an active subscription.
Note!
- Your subscription will start automatically, and the added payment method will be billed on the first of each month if you choose monthly billing or on the same date each year if you choose annual billing.
- If you still have an active trial with DeskTime, your subscription will start after the trial period has ended.
When is VAT applied?
VAT rules differ by region. Here’s a simple overview:

- If you’re a European taxpayer company and have added the VAT/Tax ID in the billing section, the tax will not be applied to your subscription.
- If you’re a European taxpayer company and your VAT/Tax ID has not been added in the billing section, the tax will be applied to your subscription. The VAT amount will be according to your country's official tax rates.
- If your company is located outside of Europe, the tax will not be applied to your subscription.
- If your company is located in Latvia, the tax will always be applied, regardless of whether a VAT number has been specified.
