We're updating the Reports section in DeskTime to help you analyze team activity and glance key performance insights with greater clarity.
Below is an overview of the new interface, its key widgets, and how data displays across different user roles.
What’s New: Widgets & Visuals
Team Highlights & Productivity Rankings
At the top of the page, see three summary cards highlighting the top performers at a glance:
Most Productive: Identifies the highest-performing team member based on their ratio of productive time, complete with a visual progress gauge.
Least Productive: Highlights members who may need assistance.
Most Effective: Displays the top performer based on effectiveness (productive hours completed against their daily target)
Expanded Leaderboard: Clicking See more employees beneath any card shows additional data on your team.
Apps & Websites
Quickly see which tools and sites consume the most time over a selected day, week, or month:
Filtered Category Views: Switch between Productive, Unproductive, and Neutral views to identify what is driving your team's output.
-
App breakdown for each team member and timeframe: By using the dropdown menu (Click on the downward-pointing arrow), you'll be able to see how much time each team member has spent on a specific app or website.
Extra Hours
Analyze activity completed outside regular work schedules or shifts:
Time Distribution: View exact time spent before work, after work, and the Total extra hours metric.
Activity Context: Check how much of that extra time was categorized as Offline time, Private time, or dedicated to specific projects.
Tools Used Outside Normal Hours: A dedicated Apps & websites used during extra hours list will highlight which programs team members access late or early.
Note: Extra hours require defined working hours or assigned shifts in Work Schedules. If a team uses Flexible Work Hours without shifts, extra hours will not accrue, and this widget will not display data.
Projects & Tasks
Track project progression, time allocation, and operational efficiency in a consolidated dashboard:
Key Performance Metrics: Summary cards provide immediate visibility into total Project time, active projects count, and overall productivity rate.
Interactive Project Table: Search, sort, and inspect individual projects by tracked time, productivity, task progress, and connected third-party integrations. Click on each project to see the contained tasks and their breakdown.
Role-Based Access
The new reporting view automatically adapts based on each team member's role:
Company Administrators & Company Owners: Complete visibility across the entire company, including all departments, teams, and individual members. Company Administrators can review macro productivity trends, monitor total overtime volume, and track all company projects.
User Administrators and User Managers: Targeted visibility for the teams and members they oversee. User Managers and User Administrators can track team app distributions, after-hours workloads, and team project hours.
Employees: View limited strictly to their own personal stats. Employees can review their own work patterns, personal productivity metrics, assigned tasks, and personal extra hours.
