DeskTime is made to automatically capture applications/website URL's that you have visited and show them in the My DeskTime section's Productivity bar. However, the productivity bar only shows the overall Website/application that was used.
To see specific documents or websites viewed using that application, hover over it with your mouse.
Terminology
In the context of Desktime:
- A Window Title is the specific text displayed at the very top of an application window or on the taskbar/dock. It acts as the "label" for the active window.
- The document name refers to the specific title of the file or project you are currently working on within an app.

URL Tracking is the process of capturing the specific web address (the link in the search bar) of the website a user is visiting.
Note!
- To disable window titles or document titles from being captured on an account level, go to Settings → Account → Tracking, and uncheck the Enable window title tracking box in the Application tracking section.
- To disable window titles or document titles from being captured for a team/department, go to Settings → Teams, choose a team, and in its settings, uncheck the Enable window title tracking box in the Application tracking section.
- To disable window title or document titles from being captured for a specific team member, go to Settings → Team members, choose a user, and find the Application tracking section of their settings. There, uncheck the option Enable window title tracking.
