DeskTime allows users to delete a selected time period if adjustments are needed.
Deleting tracked time
- Go to the My DeskTime page
- Click on the relevant time period in the Productivity bar
- The Edit tracked time pop-up will appear. Adjust the time range you want to delete using the sliders or enter it manually. Confirm changes by clicking Save
- To confirm the selected period, click Delete
The deleted time period will then appear in the Productivity bar.
Edit deleted time
If you deleted the wrong time period, you can adjust it.
- Click on the deleted time segment. The Edit deleted time pop-up will appear
- Modify the time if needed
- Click Delete again to confirm the updated selection
After editing, the adjusted time will appear as Idle time in the Productivity bar.
Permissions and editing rights
You can manually edit tracked time only if permissions are enabled.
To check this setting:
Go to Settings → Account → Tracking and make sure Tracked time editing permissions is set to Enabled or Requires approval.
Permissions can also be managed individually under Settings → Team members.
If you can’t edit or delete tracked time:
- Contact your account’s Company Owner, Company Administrator, or User Administrator for assistance.
- Go to Settings→ Account → Tracking and check whether Tracked time editing permissions are enabled for your account.
Keep in mind!
It’s not possible to delete a specific app or URL. However, you can delete the time period during which the app or URL was active.
