Private Time is a privacy feature that allows you to temporarily pause all DeskTime tracking. When activated, the app stops recording your application usage, URLs, and screenshots, ensuring your or your employee's personal activities remain completely off the record.
How to Use Private Time
To start a Private Time session:
Locate the DeskTime icon in your system taskbar. Find details about each operating system here.
Right-click the icon (Left-click for MacOS) and select Private Time.
To resume work tracking, simply click the Private Time option again to toggle it off.
Note: If you don't see this option, this option might be disabled in your account settings. See below for more info.
How to tell if Private Time is active
You can always verify your status by looking at the DeskTime icon in your taskbar. When Private Time is enabled, the standard icon will change.
